VIABUILD is the Construction Operating System for Australian residential builders. It is built in Taree, on the NSW Mid North Coast, by a small team working directly with the founder.
01 / The work
What you would be working on
Residential builders run their jobs across spreadsheets, inboxes and software that was never designed for the way they work. VIABUILD replaces that with one connected system: estimating, procurement, scheduling, progress claims and live cost control, with Oryn™ intelligence reading the documents builders already deal with, such as plans and supplier invoices, and turning them into structured data.
The product is built by Oryn Technologies Pty Ltd, trading as VIABUILD, and is part of CALDON Group. The founder is a licensed builder and property developer, which is why the product is shaped by how building actually runs. You can read more about VIABUILD and why it exists.
The team is small. Every role here carries real ownership, works directly with the founder, and is close enough to customers to see its work land.

What it is like on the inside
Builders first
VIABUILD was started by a licensed builder, and the people who use it run real jobs on it. The test for any piece of work is whether a builder would notice it on a Tuesday morning.
You ship your own work
Small, reversible changes, deployed often, by the person who wrote them. You own what you build once it is live, not only until the pull request merges.
Fast or it’s a bug
Keyboard-first, instant navigation, no loading spinners. If the software is slow, we treat it as a defect, not a fact of life.
Tested at real volume
Hundreds of invoices a month, dozens of active jobs, several estimators quoting at once. We build for how a busy builder actually works, not for tidy demo conditions.
Decisions get written down
What was decided, what else was considered and why. It keeps a small team honest and means the next person can pick up the work without a handover meeting.
Straight conversations
You work directly with the founder. Saying what should not be built, and arguing for cutting scope, is part of the job.
