Oryn · The intelligence layer

Not a chatbot.
The understanding underneath the build.

Oryn is the operational intelligence embedded in VIABUILD. It reads the one shared understanding of your job, the drawings, estimates, purchase orders, invoices and variations, and brings the right context to each decision. You review and approve, instead of reassembling what the business already knew. There is no separate screen to open and no extra workflow to run.

01 / What it does

What this feature does

Construction does not have a software shortage, it has an understanding shortage. There are plenty of tools. What is missing is one shared understanding of a job that every part of the business can work from. Oryn is the layer that holds that understanding inside VIABUILD, which is why we describe VIABUILD as a Construction Operating System rather than another management tool.

In most software, estimating, scheduling, accounts and site each build their own picture of a job, and every time the job moves to the next phase someone rebuilds that picture from scratch. Oryn removes that. Every drawing, invoice, purchase order and variation feeds one model, and Oryn reads it, so the context is already there when a decision needs to be made.

You feel it inside the features you already use. When Oryn brings the matching purchase order and budget to an invoice in AI accounts payable, or carries the quantities from a plan through estimating into your budgets and cost tracking, that is Oryn providing the context so you do not have to.

02 / Why it matters

Why builders need it

The context comes to you

Instead of opening three screens to piece a decision together, the estimate, the order, the budget arrive with the thing you are looking at. You review, you do not reassemble.

Embedded

Not another screen to check

Oryn is not a chatbot, an assistant, a separate app or an extra step. It works quietly in the background of the tools you already use, so there is nothing new to log into.

The admin shift, at its root

The nightly data entry exists because information is scattered and has to be reconciled by hand. When one shared understanding holds it together, the reconciliation stops being your job.

The business gets smarter each job

Because nothing is recreated just because another part of the business needs it, what is learned on one job carries into the next. The understanding compounds instead of starting cold.

Knowledge stays in the business

When it lives in one shared model rather than in an estimator’s or supervisor’s head, a resignation is no longer also a loss of memory. The company keeps what it knew.

One system, not linked silos

Oryn does not pass data across the boundaries between departments. It removes the boundaries, so the business runs as one system rather than a set of tools bolted together.

03 / The VIABUILD way

How VIABUILD handles it

One shared understanding, read in the flow of the work.

Everything that describes a job, the drawings, the estimate, the purchase orders, the supplier invoices, the variations and the site records, feeds a single shared model rather than sitting in separate tools. Oryn reads that model and surfaces the context that matters at the moment you need it, inside the task you are already doing.

Take a supplier invoice. When it arrives, Oryn already has the quoted estimate and the supervisor’s site order on hand, so rather than hunting for them, you see the invoice against what was quoted and what was ordered, and you approve. The intelligence did the assembling. You made the call. That is the pattern across VIABUILD: Oryn brings the understanding, you review and decide.

  • One shared model fed by every record on the job
  • Context surfaced in the task, not in a separate screen
  • Not a chatbot, assistant, or extra workflow
  • You review and approve; Oryn does the assembling
  • Understanding carries across phases, not rebuilt each time
  • What is learned on one job compounds into the next

04 / The workflow

How it runs, step by step

  1. 01

    Every record feeds one model

Drawings, estimates, purchase orders, invoices and variations land in one shared understanding of the job, not in separate departmental tools.

  2. 02

    Oryn reads the model

The intelligence layer works over that shared understanding continuously, in the background, with no separate screen to open.

  3. 03

    Context surfaces in the task

When you open an invoice, an estimate or a claim, the related context is already there, brought to the decision rather than searched for.

  4. 04

    You review and approve

Oryn assembles; you decide. It does not act on its own or replace your judgement, it removes the legwork before the judgement.

  5. 05

    The understanding carries forward

As the job moves from estimate to site to accounts, the same understanding travels with it, so nobody rebuilds it at the next phase.

  6. 06

    It compounds and it stays

Each job adds to what the business understands, and because it lives in the system rather than in people, it stays when people move on.

05 / FAQ

Common questions.

Oryn is the embedded operational intelligence layer inside VIABUILD. It reads the one shared understanding of your job, built from drawings, estimates, purchase orders, invoices and variations, and brings the right context to each decision so you review and approve rather than reassembling information yourself.

No. Oryn is not a chatbot, an assistant, a separate screen or an extra workflow. It works quietly in the background of the tools you already use in VIABUILD, surfacing context in the task at hand rather than in a conversation you have to start.

No. There is nothing extra to log into. Oryn shows up inside the work, for example when you are approving an invoice or reviewing an estimate, by bringing the related context to that screen. It is a layer underneath VIABUILD, not another app beside it.

It brings the context you would otherwise go looking for. When a supplier invoice comes in, the matching estimate and the supervisor’s site order are already on hand, so you see the invoice against what was quoted and ordered and simply approve. Oryn assembles the picture; you make the decision.

No. Oryn removes the legwork before a decision, not the decision itself. It gathers and presents the relevant context so you can review and approve quickly, and you stay in control of what is approved.

Most tools keep each department’s data separate and add AI on top of one function. Oryn works because VIABUILD holds one shared understanding of the whole job, so the intelligence has the full context to draw on rather than a single silo. It removes the boundaries between functions instead of digitising them.
